The indoor tasting room offers a warm and inviting atmosphere where visitors can sample their award-winning wines.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft, making the experience even more enjoyable. The outdoor porch provides a beautiful view of the vineyards and the surrounding mountains while enjoying the wines.

We were enthusiastically led through a flight of wines in such a relaxing atmosphere that we could have spent all afternoon there. The endless rows of vines with the backdrop of the Vaca mountain range make the perfect setting! After our tasting we stayed to enjoy two glasses of our favorite blend, and brought a bottle home. 

Recommendation: Get the Black Chicken Zinfandel. This wine changed our view of red zinfandel forever! Yum 🙂

2. Round Pond Estate

The grounds of Round Pond Estate in the heart of the Rutherford district are breathtaking, taking a place on our list of the most beautiful wineries in Napa. Driving in you are greeted by a long entry lined with towering palms leading you to a winery in the middle of acres of vineyards. A second story tasting lounge and a covered terrace offers panoramic views of the vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains.

Guests can enjoy wine and cheese pairings on the terrace, as well as olive oil tastings, or even a four-course food and wine pairing experience curated by the Estate chef. While on the pricier side, this is a great way to experience the local food and incredible wine Napa Valley has to offer! 

Recommendation: Try a glass of the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a bold red wine that is just how a Cab should be!

Recommendation: Try the Gamay Rouge, it is a best seller and is a refreshing chilled Rosé wine.

5. Castello di Amorosa

Castello di Amorosa is an actual castle in the Calistoga region, and with your wine tasting fee you also get to roam around and explore the two main stories. The winery was built in the 1990’s and is based on Tuscan medieval architecture. 

This 121,000 square-foot castle was created using the same methods and materials used in the 13th century. There are so many picturesque spots to check out on the grounds, in the tower, the great hall, and the cellar… it is definitely worth a visit!
